M&M Discovery

Eli has made continual improvement with his peanut allergy, so we decided to take a (very small) risk and approve a bag of M&Ms from his trick-or-treat bag.  He put his first-in-his-lifetime M&M in his mouth, savored it, and declared with surprise, "There's chocolate inside!"

The Purple that Brings Us All Together

One would assume that three young boys would see beets on their plates and make some wry comment or sour face.  But in this house, the sight of beets brings a cheer - as though Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner married and showed up to visit us on what had previously just been an ordinary day.

The Unmatchable NY Slice

I had this deliciousness over the weekend, when a handful of college friends decided to get together in NYC and make this thing called thirty a celebration.  A slice of cheese pizza, a can of Coke, and carrying on a little too loudly around the pizzeria table like we're 19 again - happy start-of-the-*fourth* decade to us.
