state to state: newport news middle ground lighthouse

When we were riding in the car back from vacation, we were going on a bridge when we saw a lighthouse - in the water! It looked like it was 50 feet tall, and it was the newport news middle ground lighthouse
It was really 70 feet, and the ''middle ground'' part does make sense because near it there is a L shaped shoal called ''middle ground shoal'' the race rock reef lighthouse in new york does the same thing, but it is near a reef that ''eats'' the ships.

This post was typed by Eli.  Eli did everything on his own except for the link to the picture of the lighthouse; Mommy was available to answer the "how do you spell..." questions.

  2. This kid is clearly a genius and will be wasting his time in kindergarten. Just keep him home. (He can still use the lunchbox and nap pillow.)
