Bring on Tuesday!

Since last Tuesday, tomorrow has been a day that has made me smile to think of it. Tomorrow, Ish does NOT have physical therapy. Not because his therapist can't make it. Not because we had to cancel it for another doctor visit. Not because anyone is ill.

Because Ish is strong.

Last week, Ish demonstrated such strength and skill (above age level!) that his therapist said that she felt completely comfortable with my request to have fewer sessions, as there really isn't anything that Ish needs her for until he gets leg braces. {Insert much rejoicing here.} She had nothing but praise for this motivated little guy!

But lest I get too excited about our clearer schedule, Ish decided to give me something to do on our emptier Tuesday. Tomorrow, I'll be calling to schedule an appointment to have him measured for his custom leg braces, because tonight Ish pulled himself to standing. All by himself. Over and over again. With a large amount of giggling, and a huge cheer from his brothers.

The older boys were in the bathtub, and Ish wanted in the action desperately. He crawled through the puddles on the bathroom floor, reached his hand up to the bathtub ledge, and just stood up, popping his head over to see into the water like he had been doing this for weeks. And suddenly I realized that we had reached that milestone that meant braces were in the as-soon-as-possible future.

His standing is different, since he has to stand on the tilted balls of his feet - but he is standing. He is proving that just "waiting until April" is not an option with him; he plans on achieving whatever he plans on achieving! We're very proud of him, and of his brothers who were just as excited as he.

  1. BRING ON THE PRAISE FOR TUESDAY!!

A thousand hallelujahs for our GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST who saw this moment in time in Ish's life (a remarkable milestone) from the beginning of time!!

What a omniscient "view" our God has! How amazing and merciful that He desires to let us in on what He sees from time to time in our lives.....

LORD I WANT TO BE IN YOUR VIEWFINDER seeing with your eyes all the seeming impossibilities all around me. Nothing is too hard for you...nothing impossible!

Thank you Father for showing us all a glimpse of that today in the life of your dear sweet boy Ish!

How beautiful are the feet of this little boy, may they bring your good news to all who are in need of hearing about YOU!

    Singing your praises Lord!

    Miss Beth
